Who are AnyTime Mailbox?
Anytime Mailbox first launched in 2013 and from the very start has been a dedicated virtual mailbox service.
In their words, the mission has been to “develop a secure, scalable, and easy-to-use tool for mail recipients and mail center operators that turns postal mail into immediately available digital mail“.
With head offices in both Nevada, USA, and Singapore (and of course the availability of 100s of virtual addresses), this cloud-based platform has proved very popular with customers.

A Brief Look at Anytime Mailbox’s Services
Offering over 1000 location addresses, (Anytime Mailbox also provides addresses outside of the USA), the service has all the features you would expect from a virtual mailbox.
All the main options are available, including package and mail forwarding, scanning, storage as well as secure document shredding. The company can also oversee the secure handling of check deposits.
The user can carry out instructions via the online dashboard or mobile phone app, having been notified via email or phone alert that incoming mail has arrived.
Upon arrival, the envelope is scanned and can be viewed immediately within your dashboard, thus allowing you to decide on the steps to be taken.
The level of service varies widely depending on the plan that you go for. The main differences being the lower the monthly fee, the smaller allocation of incoming mail and scans you will get within your monthly quota.

How Much is Anytime Mailbox? The Monthly Plans
Monthly plans as low as $5.99
The service comes into its own for the budget-minded user. The lowest-priced plans are dependant on the location of the address (from the 1000+ addresses, only a few are at the lowest rate of $5.99).
That being said, if you are flexible on the virtual address you will not find it difficult to obtain a $10 a month plan, suited to a low quota user.

Here, you can receive 10 mail items a month which is appropriate for an individual user that doesn’t expect much mail.
However, it is important to bear in mind that if a lot of your mail needs to be opened and scanned, at a cost of $0.99 per page, your monthly fee could quickly add up.
This is where careful consideration needs to be made. Although Anytime Mailbox offers some great value monthly packages, you should try to calculate your potential usage before signing up for one of the low priced plans.
If it doesn’t meet your needs, you will end up spending a lot more.
Bronze, Silver, Gold & Unlimited Packages
As we have already mentioned, the range of available AnyTime Mailbox plans is a benefit, but it does take a little patience wading through all that is on offer.
Generally speaking, each address has bronze, silver, gold, and unlimited packages. The main difference between them is the number of incoming mail items and scans you can receive for free and the amount that you pay once you go over that quota.
Because the address you choose has an impact on the number of features and price of the plans, there is no uniform price for these different packages. You will need to browse the various address locations to see what the fees are.
It is also important that the services offered on the “Unlimited” packages should be checked. Very often, the unlimited refers to shredding, recycling, and storage. The main service options (incoming mail and mail contents scanning) will still have a quota.

Note that even though this is an unlimited package at a high monthly fee, check depositing is still unavailable. This is due to the fact that not all locations provide this service.
Signing up to Anytime Mailbox
Anytime Mailbox state that signing up is as easy as 1,2,3. To a degree, this is true.
The first step is location. Depending on your personal requirements you may be flexible on this (in which you can search for an address with the best fees and packages) or pretty strict.
Either way, once you have chosen an address from the 1000+ available (for those interested, European, South American, and Asian addresses can be selected now), it is time to pick the service plan.
Choose a service plan
As we have covered above, this choice should be in line with your predicted monthly usage. You can change a plan once you have started your subscription, but getting it right from that start is clearly recommended.
If need be, err on the side of caution and pay for a package that will comfortably meet your needs. If after a few months you see that a reduced quota would suffice, change accordingly.
This, in the end, would be better than paying extra per action taken during the month.
Enter address details
The process from here is very simple. You personalize your chosen address with your name, and company name if applicable. You then enter your current forwarding address (this can be changed later if you are on the move) and choose a password.
USPS Form 1583 & Payment
The final step is to review your details, arrange for the USPS form 1583 to be completed and make payment for the first month’s subscription.
The USPS 1583 form has to be filled in and notarized as it proves that you give Anytime Mailbox permission to manage your mail. Although you can opt to download the form and have it notarized locally, we and Anytime recommend you just use their handy online tool.
Select this option and after payment, you simply fill in the form, create an electronic signature and they will take care of notarization for you, (for a nominal fee). It is a much more efficient way of going about it.
With this completed, you will now have full access to the Anytime Mailbox online dashboard and app and can begin having your mail sent to your new virtual address.

Using the Anytime Mailbox Online Dashboard & Phone App
So, is Anytime Mailbox an easy to use, efficient service once you have signed up for it?
The answer is yes. The video above will give you a good indication of the interface. The app (available on both IOS and Android devices) is very simple in design. And that is a good thing.
A push notification, email, or text msg will alert you once the mail has arrived. You click on this to see a scanned image of the envelope. A simple slide up menu gives you the option on what should be done with it.
Should you choose for the contents to be scanned (a process that doesn’t take more than a couple of hours in most instances), you will be able to see the results on either your phone or laptop with ease.
After this, you can request the mail to be forwarded to another address, request safe shredding, or simple hard-copy storage.
Within the dashboard, you can also organize mail that you have received, look back on historical items, and request further actions. Overall, the interface is simple, intuitive and turnaround times on actions is fast.
