Earth Class Mail is a sophisticated virtual mail service platform. It offers easy integration with software such as QuickBooks and Bill.com, and the flexibility of their “Mailroom Plans” make it one of the best company focused virtual mailbox packages on the market. However, they are expensive and the choice of only 80+ addresses is limited. Beyond enterprise users, the needs of the individual traveler and families are well catered for too. These are competitively priced and offer the reliability you would expect from a major player in the virtual mailbox arena.

Who are Earth Class Mail?
Earth Class Mail is a highly regarded provider of office mail automation services and arguably one of the best known on the market. They are also one of the largest in terms of mail that they manage.
The business first launched in 2004 and can now include large companies such as Zapier, Reddit, and Lyft on their books. In some cases, the Earth Class Mail is managing the entire mailroom logistics of these large enterprises.
Small businesses and individuals are catered for too of course. With over 10 million pieces of mail scanned since Earth Class Mail started, it is clear that this is a dominant player in the virtual mailbox service space.
An Overview of Earth Class Mails’ Services
Earth Class Mail has a wide range of packages with services that include general mail management, mail contents scanning, forwarding, and storing. As with all virtual mail service providers they also offer secure document shredding, and secure check deposits (carried out via a platform named CheckStream).
However, where Earth Class Mail gets my vote is its superior features for businesses. In what can be classed as a virtual mailroom, the company has designed a platform that offers a modern, remote digital mail management system.
Incoming mails, correspondences, checks, and invoices are converted be into digital documents that can be uploaded or downloaded from digital mail platforms such as e-mails, apps, and website portals.
Essentially this helps businesses large and small to streamline the management of their incoming mail. Furthermore, the automation and digitizing of mail allow easy integration into billing software, accounting programs, and storage applications.
Beyond business owners, Earth Class Mail also provides more standard, lower-priced mailbox services suitable for travelers, expatriates, and people who have moved residences.
These offer a convenient virtual address (out of currently 80 available) for users to have their mail sent to while they are away. These are called the Mail Box Plans, and I will take a look at these first, before turning to a closer look at the business-related “Mailroom Plans“.

Mail Box Plans
Earth Class Mail offers the Mail Box management services in personal, shared, and premium packages.
As the name suggests, the personal plan (priced at $19mo) is designed for one recipient name only and is best suited to digital nomads, remote professionals, and single travelers.
The shared plan ($29mo) can have a maximum of 5 recipient names attached to the account. This makes it especially appropriate for families and groups of travelers.
Finally, the premium plan ($79mo) can actually cater to small businesses. Here, up to 20 recipients can be added to the account.
However, with the Mail Box plans including just 50 received mail items in the monthly quota, a business using the Premium plan could see itself go over the limit quite easily (especially if all 20 recipients are attached).
Because of this, a good idea of what the costs are over your package limits is a must, (head here for more on that).
Upon signing up the user chooses an address out of the 80 provided by the Earth Class Mail network. After this, you can then select one of the plans as shown in the box above.
Whichever plan you go for, you can expect the following services and monthly quotas included.
- unlimited scans of envelopes and inbound mail (this does not include scanning the mail contents),
- mail contents scanning,
- mail storage (free for 30days),
- mail forwarding,
- unlimited cloud backups,
- 256-bit encryption for digital documents,
- Complete audit trail for mails,
- Developer beta API (Application programming interface) platforms,
- Digital mail integration with 3 applications – Xero, Quickbooks Online and Bill.com
- Integration to 4 storage platforms – Box, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Cloud Drive.
Earth Class Mail also offers automatic check deposit services on the Mail Box plans. This is especially useful if you are abroad and still expect to receive checks from within the USA.
All 3 mailbox plans come with 50 exterior item scans for both letter mails and packages. These are automatically sent to your email and online mailbox (also viewable within the app).
This allows you to decide whether the mail should be opened, trashed, shredded, stored, or forwarded to your real address.
If mail forwarding is chosen, the platform allows you to create a shipment profile that determines how the items are packaged, where to be shipped to, and if shipping insurance needs to be included. USPS, UPS, DHL or FedEx, are the available shipping company choices.
Underlying all of this is very good customer support. Earth Class Mail can also boast 99.9percent uptime of the mail management platform. This all leads to an efficient service that has become very polished during its years of operation.
MailRoom Plans
The MailRoom plans offered by Earth Class Mail are what I especially like about the service. Designed specifically for business and enterprise users, the platform has adequate infrastructure to handle the mail management needs of some really big players, (the aforementioned Lyft & Reddit for instance).
The unifying features of these plans include unlimited recipients (essential for a large company), free shredding on all mail, and at least 30 days of mail storage.
There is a wide selection of business addresses too, including prestigious locations such as New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.
The allocated mail quota amounts are the main difference between the 3 plans:
- Start-up MailRoom = $139mo (100 pieces of mail)
- Business MailRoom = $229mo (250 pieces of mail)
- Enterprise MailRoom = From $1,029 (Full customizable)
If you have read out the review round-up of virtual mailbox services, you will have seen that Earth Class Mail is our top pick for large businesses.
The main reason for this is the level of clarity on pricing and the customizable nature of the enterprise packages.
In short, if your business needs comprehensive mail management facilities, this is the service best suited to meet them.

As you will see, Traveling Mailbox is a top overall pick for 2021 due to its simple pricing structure, reliable service, and easy to use app. As we’ve mentioned elsewhere in this review, Earth Class Mail has really excelled in providing for enterprise users (hence being the top pick for businesses this year).
